Plot
Until now, we've only touched the surface…

We know more about the surface of the moon than we do about the deep oceans, yet the sea covers two thirds of our planet. The Blue Planet: Seas Of Life goes farther out and deeper down than we have ever gone before.

Ocean World/Frozen Seas - Discover the blue whale- a perfect symbol for the vast and unknown oceans. Then journey to the poles, where life itself is a brief indulgence until the ice returns.

Open Ocean/ The Deep - The open ocean is a water wasteland between the burning sun and the dark abyss, home to some of the ocean's most spectacular predators. Far below lurk some of the Earth's strangest inhabitants- the denizens of the deep.

Seasonal Seas/Coral Seas - each year in Earth's temperate seas, whole forest bloom and die in response to the seasons. In the meantime, bright sunlight and warm clear water make a coral reef the rainforest of the sea.

Tidal Seas/Coasts - Each turn of the tide coaxes giant stingrays through underwater caverns, empties entire bays, and strands sea creatures on suddenly dry land. On the ever changing coasts, life begins and ends in the surf.
